Lindos combines relaxation and intense life in the summer months.
And also the journey into the past with the natural beauty and wonderful beaches. Lindos is one of the most popular destinations on the island, because as already said, it combines the natural landscape with monuments from antiquity and the Middle Ages in a traditional village.

The Acropolis of Lindos (offers one of the most beautiful sights of the sea) is classified as a monument, like the old town of Rodos, and as a result receives thousands of visitors each year.
Acropolis is a hill accessible by foot or by donkey.
Lindos village has its own unique character with the white houses beneath the acropolis.
But the attention of any visitor is being caught by the famous mansions, their date of construction being engraved in their front doors.

Kalithea Springs is located between the two holiday resorts, Kalithea and Faliraki, in the northern part of Rhodes.

Kalithea Springs is a spa, which dates all the way back to the classical Antiquity, but the current facilities were built by the Italians in 1929. After a thorough renovation, the beautiful facilities reopened as a museum with an adjoining beach in the summer of 2007.

Kalithea Springs beach
The beach in Kalithea Springs is fairly small, but it is peaceful and the surroundings are very beautiful.

The beach is located in a bay with sun lounges on both sides. On the one side, there is also a restaurant/café.

The beach is a mixture of sand, gravel and pebbles. The water is shallow and usually completely calm.

A unique nature reserve is to be found inland on Rhodes Island, “Butterfly Valley” or in Greek “Petaloudes Valley”. It sounds like a dreamy place and truly is! It is one of the most famous attractions of Rhodes that is certainly worth a visit. Only 10 km from the airport and 25 km from the town of Rhodes, you can visit the famous Valley of the Butterflies.

This is a habitat with dense flora, breathtaking natural beauty, harmonious structures of bridges with the environment, paved paths, ponds, small inexhaustible waterfalls, serene atmosphere and a unique experience for the visitors. The only sound the visitors can hear there is the chirping of the cicadas and the murmuring of the cool water.

An excellent place for families with children who wish to enjoy the beauties of nature and examine the life cycle of butterflies as part of their summer holiday.

Butterfly Valley” or in Greek “Petaloudes Valley”

On the north-western shore of Rhodes, close to the promontory of Agios Minas (the ancient Mylantio) lies the third and smallest of the island’s ancient cities, Kamiros.

When the settlement of classical times was leveled by an earthquake in 226 BC, the city was re-built in line with the Hippodamean system, on three levels.

On the lowest of these stood the Hellenistic temple, the Doric fountain and the perivolos of the altars. On the middle level stood the main part of the city and at the top of the hill was the acropolis with the temple of Athena and the Stoa.

Open daily (except Mondays):
April-October: 08:00 – 18:40
November-March: 08:30 – 14:40

The visitor should not be misled by the term “Medieval Town” into thinking that what he will see is a ruined and deserted city, such as Mystras in the Southern Peloponnese.

The Old Town of Rhodes is a bustling neighborhood of some 6,000 people, who live and work in the same buildings in which the Knights of St. John lived six centuries ago; as a living monument to the past it must be nearly unique in Europe, if not the world.

Even the visitor whose stay in Rhodes is for no more than a few hours should not neglect to walk around it.
